The Winch10 was used in two art installations by the Italian scenographer, light designer and videographer Paolo Rudelli in Les échappées (1 & 2) and Mindless Perception. In Les échappées, the winches were used to create the illusion of a floating surface in motion. This scenographic light and motion design was an intricate part of a dance performance (view images). In some scenes, the floating surface turned into a screen onto which video was projected. In Mindless Perception, an interactive performance installation, the winches were similarly used to create a moving screen (view images).
